Last Sunday afternoon we drove 60 miles to Waterloo, Ontario to watch the Waterloo Siskens play the Kitchener Dutchmen in a Junior B hockey game. The son of Lil Lefty's softball coach plays on the Siskens. It is "old time hockey" for 16-21 year olds with professional desires. The game ended with a loss for the Siskens in overtime. Sunday was Fan Appreciation Day with a ball hockey game against the players in the parking lot. All three kids played for 30 minutes in 15 degree temps. MacMom and I were the only sane ones... we stayed in the car and took pictures.
