What do good Canadian families do after dinner on a Monday night? I don't know what Canadians do, but this Texas family living in Canada straps on the blades and takes a quick skate on the backyard rink. We built the ice rink frame a month ago and installed a tarp last week. 24 hours of water and a few frigid days of cold. Voila!!! one ice rink.
Even our resident Zamboni driver and all-around rink maintenance helper got in a few practice laps. For those who don't recognize, MacMom is in the picture to the left working on our "surface". The weather report calls for near 50 degree (converted to Fahrenheit for our US friends) temps on Tuesday and then a drop back down to "freezer time".
